How easy is it to move from an investment bank firm to a tech company?

So I left my medical interpreter job back in February due to differences with management and I’m working to make the jump to another field such as Higher Ed and/or Tech. When does the move to Transaction Advisory Services (TAS)/FDD typically happen from audit? Currently a first year associate. Does CFA help or just network well?

I’m making $140k. I have a college degree but no marketing, engineering, or product experience. What other departments/jobs could I jump to and still keep close to my OTE? Having tough time deciding between IB & Consulting. My thought process: I have a "better" background for IB (TAS/valuation) and with tech layoffs, this might push more potential would-be tech applications to pursue consulting (there by increased competition)? Additionally, you can do IB intern and full time consulting but not vice versa. I prefer consulting, but IB seems like the "safer" option? And if consulting does get hit hard, I would hopefully have a full time IB offer via internship.
