I’ve been interviewing with an agency for the past 8 weeks or so. Tomorrow they’ve set up a call for me to speak to the AD who would potentially be my partner. Any suggestions for questions to ask?

Had a very unpleasant experience with the entire interview process at Paytm. First of all they kept all three rounds in a single day . It started from the morning and ended up till the final round at late evenings. After all the rounds were cleared, the HR asked for the expected package, and when I gave him my quote which was just 35% more than my current CTC, he got reluctant and said we only have a budget of an X amount which was just 10% more than my current CTC. Who on earth does that..?

I was hired on with a company at the same time as my male coworker. We work the exact position, different projects.
I asked him flat out what his salary was when he hired on. His salary is at minimum 15% more. He’s never had a raise.
Neither one of us had any experience in this specific position but he didn’t even have experience in the field, which I did.
I requested a performance and salary review because it’s my annual review time anyway. Best way to address this? Also applying elsewhere.

Sort of a stretch but looking to make the move from Business Development to Conference or Corporate Event planning. Any recruiters for that kind of thing on here or anyone have any advice/tips?

For context, I don’t think they misled me. The job changed 3 weeks after I got hired, and got stuck in a role that’s just not a good fit. Gave it 6 months of honest effort and I’m ready to start job hunting.

When an interviewer asks you to summarize your resume and you’ve been at 5+ consulting companies, what level do you tell the story? I want to touch on accomplishments and maybe one complicated project at each but I feel like it’s lengthy.

Former implementor who pivoted to M&A for a 45% comp bump circa 2021. I hope others follow suit, there’s enough shitty people in this business. I try not to be one of them.

I know this isn’t a marriage therapy bowl, but my husband has a really terrible tendency of saying things like “you’re being really mean” and completely shutting down during a disagreement when i objectively am not being mean, just truthful or vocal about how i feel about something. It’s a really convenient argument for him because it enables him to either be the victim and me the villian, or forces me to concede my stance and not reach a true resolution. It’s hard to be motivated when rounds of layoffs happen and you see all your friends leave. But one thing that’s gotten me through all of this is working out. And when I say workout I mean the most pathetic, sad, barely completed beginner-level cardio dance routines. I’ve somehow forced myself to move while on lockdown and it’s somehow forced me to feel better. Whatever you’re doing, wherever you are: get up and move even if you don’t finish or end up going on a walk. Pls take care of yourself❤️

How do I be a decent manager to a coworker who's upset I've been promoted twice in two years and they haven't? We started out as coworkers, became decent friends after a few good moments, but went back to simply coworkers after they flubbed a few projects and I had to step in to clean up.
