Hi fishes,
Any guess how many people are laid off from Publicis sapient in past few days? Really scared for my future as I'm also under probation period and deeply regret for my choice of joining this firm...I don't understand why were they recruiting peeps when they were short of projects. Publicis Sapient

Tata Consultancy I am a manager in Capgemini... have an offer frm TCS. the designation being offered is Assistant Consultant.. 9.8 years experience( 5 yrs with Cap) Even though I am getting a package of 25Lakhs.. it seems like a demotion in designation.. Cg has offered to match upto 23.5 lakhs.. Is it worth moving to TCS on this grade? My primary reason for moving out of Cg is i m bored of beauocracy and WLB at current project. Is it a good idea to still switch with the counter offer from Cg Capgemini Tata Consu

Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

My criteria: mesh seat and back, arms, headrest
I tried cheap ones from Amazon. Expensive, second hand gaming chairs. Tried HM Aeron (second hand) and while I didn't like the bulk and the general design, I was sold on the mesh seating. I wanted to get the ErgoChair 2 from autonomous, but it doesn't have mesh seat.

In my personal opinion only ;
The job market is relatively stable currently in the US, UK, Canada, DE, etc., definitely nothing like ‘08 is going to reoccur anytime soon. If it does the alarms would be ringing right now.
I was speaking to a group of senior talent folks from the Big 4 and MBB earlier this month and they conveyed that the talent market was still “hot” and “competitive”. Put in WFH preferences, skill shortages and growing client needs; the power is still in the hands of the employee/candidate.
I would go for it.
Doesn’t hurt to apply and see what’s out there. Even in recessions companies still hire. Doesn’t cost you anything but time to apply to some
Moving to a mid-small sized company is a risk at the moment, would suggest you stay put. If moving to a large sized firm, they’re more immune (would have factored economic conditions into HC allocation) so such a move will be a (relatively) safe bet.
Big 4, MBB and other great companies are still hiring. Big tech slowed down their hiring significantly but they haven’t done any layoffs. Obviously read up on recent company news before applying so u have an idea how the company is doing (I.e Snapchat, Netflix have done many layoffs recently so I wouldn’t even think to apply there)
