McKinsey & Company I am joining the McKinsey & Company Boston office in late July and searching for housing in the meantime. If I could get some insight on the ratio of days in the office vs work from home that would be super helpful!
If I need to come into the office regularly I will try to find a place close by.

#stepuptothetable is about helping local restaurants who are struggling during these times. I have seen numerous linkedin posts with videos where people challenge each other to step up to the table & buy meals & gift cards from their community restaurants. A great way for those of us who are more fortunate to support business & keep people employed.

Just pulled the trigger on an aeron last night.
They have a 12 year warranty which means it will probably last 20. Last chair I’ll ever need. Been through two cheaper ones in the last 5 years
Absolutely worth it! Can also recommend the Sayl
Does anyone have a chair recommendation that isn’t hideous but still super comfortable and supportive? I don’t like the office chair look... also don’t really want to spend more than $200

I have a Steelcase, same as our office. It’s great. Puts me in the work mindset since my setup is the same as work’s
I got this and it’s quite good. It doesn’t have high back but the rest is great. https://www.officedepot.com/a/products/510830/WorkPro-Quantum-9000-Series-Ergonomic-Mid/
This. I've already recommended this to others. Have been using it since March and it's similar to the Aeron chairs. Or you can be a barely used Aeron for 400ish if you can find.
Seems like you might be working the extremes — I am sure mid range chairs exist if have a preference for frugality.
I have seen autonomous pop up a few times here.
Definitely worth it

We bought a chair from West Elm. It’s stylish and super comfy.
I just ordered a new Herman Miller Embody chair. It is slightly more expensive than the Aeron, but I have found it to be a better chair for long term sitting - 8 to 10 hours with regular breaks. It is pricey, but it will be my second one.
I like the Embody chair over the Aeron because of the ridge that holds the webbing/ netting on the Aeron. That tends to cause some discomfort on the back of my legs.
While the cost is higher, I expect to own the chair for at least 20 years - and that few hundred bucks is still cheaper than back surgery.
Aerons are built like tanks. I bought a lightly used one for $160 :)
