Ive had a stellar 25 year career and track record. I’ve found that THE BIGGEST JOKE of company leadership that I’ve ever worked for is iCapital. Run by a psychopath CEO. Consider this a PSA since lately people seem to be asking quite a bit about iCapital…..hard no. Run. Also they’re too fat and still continuing to hire like crazy despite valid rumblings of a daunting layoff towards the end of the year. This industry is vile.

Thanks for the heads up. Haven't used a lot, but from the outside it seems like they're the early mover and brand name in the mass market "quick and easy access to alts/feeders/structured products/advisor training." Everything else is a distant 3rd place. Certainly, they shouldn't be cocky about it, and they have integrations issues, but is this a beef with management, or is there real business risk?

We just did an employee survey. The results were SO BAD unanimously that of course they never shared the results. It’s bad for a number of reasons. Poor and incompetent leadership. Lack of accountability. At the executive level, extremely condescending and abrasive culture. Ping me if you have questions. I’m sure the experience can be different depending on where you are functionally, but again our employee satisfaction score from the survey plummeted double digits in just the last month alone. Tread cautiously.

No outward risk, and sound business model. They’re the big gorilla in the space and not going anywhere. This was more around leadership culture for the perspective of anyone looking to work there.

like

Curious as to what makes you say this. Currently considering applying and would like to know what this is a hard pass when other sites give it such high scores. Of course, everyone’s experience is different so I would like to get the other perspective. The position I’d be looking at is on the corporate finance side.

After 6 years of temporary contracts and unstable situations, I find my dream job in my dream company. All of a sudden the world goes upside down and I get laid off. I start sending hundreds of applications, with only 2 recruiters getting back to me to say I don’t have experience for the job (this is how it works in Italy). Add a terrible health situation in my family and it seems there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. Ugh. 😞

Anyone have any idea when the hiring freeze might end within AWS ProServ? I’m currently at Amazon and have a TS clearance, PMP & CSM. I come from a Big4 consulting firm with a background in Enterprise Performance. I’ll be honest and say I’m not feeling very safe in my current role with the ongoing layoffs. Instead of leaving, I’d love to go back to my “consulting roots” and join the ProServ team. I’m taking my AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam next weekend. Hoping this freeze is lifted soon.
