What about laundry and washing windows?
Mortgage paperwork?? That's not an EA role with extra duties, that's two completely separate jobs for the price of one. I've seen some wild job descriptions, but that's a new level. Talk about unreasonable expectations...
I don't mind them coming with their Christmas List of Responsibilities. I saw a job listing the other day: Be Come Our Super Star - Work for 4-5 Executives, Managing Calendars, Preparing Travel Itineraries for all C-Suite Executives & Managers (16), Track All Action Project Manager Task, Build Project Timeline, Work With Media as a consultant, Process all C-Suite Executives & Manager Expense Reports and Serve as Manger to all other Administration Assistants and Take and Preparing Minutes for Executive Team Meeting and work as Back-Up Assist to IT Department. A salary of $80,000 - $85,000. (ARE YOU SERIOUS)???
I basically work 4-5 peoples roles lol. Executive assistant to 4-8 at a time, and manage THREE offices. That are 2 hours away from my main one. It’s wild. And I get paid barely one person’s salary.
This is becoming the norm as EA duties are being replaced by Ai. The other unfortunate part is that there is no plan for transition of these roles or pay increase for the added duties/trainings needed to meet higher increased expectations.
