It’s specialized in one sector. I had communicated the offer deadline with all the companies I interviewed for . Two weeks after I had accepted such said offer, one of the companies I interviewed for called me and said they would like to extend an offer to me as well.

One of my senior managers is a boomerang and told me she was laid off when she was 7 months pregnant about 10 years ago. I think she was a senior or manager. She was in a specific group and everybody was laid off. It wasn’t performance based.

New auditor here, I see most auditors get booked for 10- 12 hours on engagements during busy season. But heard everyone’s working 65 hours to 100 hours a week during that time. Does that mean almost everyone is eating their hours in big four and midsize firms ? If you’re assigned for 12 hours daily, Monday to Friday, but actually working 15 hours and weekends, do you book 12 hours Monday to Friday ? Or the actual hours you worked including weekends ?

Advice for studying for CISA? I’ve purchased the CRM, QAE, and Hemang Doshi’s book. So far I’m having trouble reading through the CRM because it’s so detailed that everything seems important and difficult to retain. I’m an incoming new hire so I think I should read the book even though I know people who have passed with only QAE (they were previous b4 interns)
