Isn’t the commission the gift?!
You’re paying the commission indirectly. The asking price of the home takes into account agent fees for both the seller and buyers side. You’re essentially giving the money to the seller when you purchase the home to give to your agent 🤣
REALTORS ARE THE BIGGEST RIP OFF. THEY ARE EXTREMELY OVER PAID. I CANT WAIT FOR TECHNOLOGY TO TAKE KVER AND SAVE THE HOMEOWNER 7% !!!!!!!!!!!
lol bro are you kidding, the MLS is a gold mine. In the DC area, over the last year, a lot of listings never make it to any third party site.
I closed yesterday and my realtor got me a gift. I don’t think you need to get them a gift. They get paid commission
I gave mine a joint and we ended up smoking it together.

Why the hell would you give your realtor a gift?? 😂
Because of your purchase and business. You don’t need to get them a gift

Nah you’re their client, they can get you a gift but no expectation you get them a gift
Lol wait what? The 2.5% they got as the agent wasn’t enough lol?
Still not getting them a fruit basket
Good review on yelp ?
Also you get gift from realtor not the other way around.

I thought my realtor was phenomenal. I bought her a wristlet from Coach.
Wow
Shouldn’t they get YOU a gift?!
Referrals and a thank you post? That fat commission was enough monetary gift
My realtor got me a small gift. You gave them business and 3% commission. If they were good the best gift you can give them is a referral or a positive review online
I got mine a bunch of flowers. She really went above and beyond and I think it’s nice to show appreciation when you think someone has done a great job (I understand that that’s their bosses job but it doesn’t hurt to be a nice human!)
If you're the buyer, the seller pays their realtor a commission and the buyer's realtor usually split it [hence why they have financial incentive to rep both parties]. And yes, typically even buyer realtors provide a gift as a business thank you. If you want to reciprocate, give them a positive review on social media/online and also pass along their name as a referral to friends and family.
I gave them a full 3% commission.
My realtors have always given me a gift. They are getting a huge commission. You owe them nothing especially in this market
Dude they make 3%. If you’re like me you found your own house and toured at most 2-3. They should owe YOU a gift.

Refer them to your next friend who is buying a house.
On closing my realtor gave me a bottle of champagne. He charged me 2.5% on both my sale & purchase, so 5% in total instead of 6%. A few months later he phoned me & asked me if I would write a review for him. I was glowing. I think that was my present to him.
The fact that you went with them as your realtor is a gift in it of itself. If you want to do more, writing a review/ referring clients is what they appreciate the most. You’ve spent so much money on buying a house + you’ll be busy moving. Focus your energy on the next chapter in your life.
