I’ve recently inquired about relocating 600+ miles for work as a lower level manager for a restaurant chain that do offer relocation packages. Having zero clue how these things work, I guess my general question is what could I potentially be looking at as far as an a money offer (is it a standard $/mile thing), if I was the one who asked to be moved do I hold any power to ask for a raise, set intention to be move up in management later on? Do I have any cards to play to my benefit?

A coworker and I Both have been a tech for the same amount of years but she got 1.50 more than I did. How do I bring this up as the supervisor mentioned that we shouldn’t be talking about our raises.

I feel like all of my friends who work in tech are very open about their starting salaries and the increases each year. I am going to work in public accounting and I feel like when I look up how much I will make after being promoted or early promoted it’s very cryptic. Can anyone tell me the standard salary % increase in PA after your first, second, third promotion?

Anyone have advice for advancing in your current role? My co-worker was hired in at manager level but somehow “proved” he was actually doing director level work and got a title promotion and salary increase in less than a year. I also went above and beyond my job as well (covering for him for a month while he was away on paternity leave) while taking on other projects outside of my job title and got zip—no raise or recognition. I am a ft interior designer, full time mom that also does part time photography on the side. I currently make 90K as a designer and bring in around 20K as a photographer/yr. Curious what’s a fair salary in MA? Was just told that there is likely not going to be a chance for a raise during my upcoming performance review due to my salary already being “above average for the industry” based on my employer’s questionable research. I have been at my company for 3.5 years. One year ago (2.5 years into my employment with them) they re-leveled everyone and I was bumped to an entry level position on the terms that they changed my job title when they re-leveled, so “technically” I am at the early stages of my new title. Even though the job duties did not really change.

Hi All! Looking for some advice. I am a manager a country club but I do everything. I’m in charge of outside events and member events, in charge of the front of house staff, scheduling, ordering and membership sales for the club. I feel I am very underpaid at $45k. I do get commission but it’s very low ($10k give or take for the year). I work 6/7 days a week sometimes 10+ hrs/day. I’ve been researching salaries to be able to negotiate higher pay. I want to ask for $60k-is this reasonable?

Should I Go Back and Reneg? Recently I was offered a role as a Project Implementation Manager (In Retirement Services) .The salary range for Colorado residents was 65-89K.
