Honestly, what’s keeping you there? From everything you just said, they’ve already shown they don’t value you or your skill set. If you can't see it yet, then maybe stay a little longer, but the truth is, you just gave yourself every reason you need to walk away. Don't let loyalty to a place that doesn't honor you hold you back from stepping into something better.
I couldn’t agree more. I had 3-4 reasons of not staying at my previous employer. Was there for about 2 and a half years. Put in my two weeks once I had another job lined up
Why not skip fsa and try for the Merrill Wealth management side. Risky but worth it.
Is it worth staying at BOA till I hit the year or going to Chase is my question better for my career. How much do they pay at Chase for an RB?
Things to consider. The RB role doesn’t have a path to get license for 7. The FSA role ultimately does. The base for RB was about $48K when I left but commission brought me to about $100K. That depends on you. Ideally you should try to go to Chase as a PCB. Still required to have series 6 and SIE just like the RB role, but the caps are much higher for balances you bring in. Still tho. No path to advisor, you just have to do well and hope they like you and allow you to apply for advisor role and test for series 7 as some point.
I personally hate when companies don’t hire talent from within but will hire externally. Unless they are hiring external people at the lowest end of the salary range then I understand.
Typically lowest end of salary Range for jobs like the one described. Essentially entry level. The OP could have risked holding out for the role they wanted, but you do have to stay in any position for 12 months at that level. That’s a pretty hard rule and communicated very clearly to everyone.
What other licensees do you have? The SIE is just an intro tbh you’re gonna need the 6 and 63 atleast for chase. And if you want to be an advisor you need your series 7 and 65/66
There’s no need for the 6 if ur getting the 7 lol
Depends on the market but as a PCB at chase, you can make decent money.
I'd consider the move if I were you.
You have to be in role for a year. Sometimes the will let you change roles after 11 months but it’s very rare
