Just accepted a offer at JPM private bank for a client associate. Anyone have any insight on the upwards trajectory? I’m working on my masters in corp finance and will be registered. Just would like to know the possibilities of where I could go!

It's a good place to really get your foot in the door. I agree that you'd probably be better on the analyst side.

Thank you! I am truly excited and absolutely open to the analyst side. I just wonder if this would be an easy transition or more so starting from scratch

Could move to financial advisor or financial analyst. What are your goals and what path interests you most?

I think I’d rather move to the analyst side as I’m not too big a fan of the “sales” component of being an advisor. Any advice on how to eventually switch over?

Is the role in the Delaware office? I spent many years at the private bank there. I think if you don’t want to be on the sell side, then try to network with folks in asset mgmt. JPM is pretty good about mobility, internal transfers across business units happen all the time.

Nope!

I think JPM private bank has two main paths (banker and investor). Sounds more you're into the investor side since you don't like the sales/client management side. Try to network with investors and investment professionals and pivot your career on that side

Got a 30% salary bump, via an offer for Senior Consultant S&O from Deloitte. Currently underpaid at EY Advisory. I'm MBA and this year is my promotion year at EY for Manager. What to do? Get demoted and move to D? Or counter at EY? Even if EY matches my salary, and promote me to Manager, I will be an EY Manager with a Deloitte SC salary, and probably won't be able to go to D in the future. What do you think? I have built up a good relationship with my Partner and SMs at EY though.

I was wondering if the review course “CPE Self Study Course” for the CFF was enough preparation to study and pass the CFF exam. The CFE review course was enough and like if you get a question wrong it explains it well so that when it comes up in a different way in the real exam you can still get it. But when I saw the outline for the CFF material and there seems to be a lot of topics so I was wondering if the review course was sufficient considering this exam is also multiple choice. Thanks!

While he thinks that its genetics/being naturally gifted that got them to where they are I believe it's the environment & discipline that made them successful. We are not from said communities but curious to hear your thoughts on who is more accurate.
