Just curious how most people in here feel since it seems there's a lot of talk in general of PP being an unfulfilling path. Has being a patent attorney been more or less rewarding than you initially expected? If it lacks fulfilment, are there different/ unexpected aspects of the job that make up for that for you?

I feel fulfilled, just stressed out and overworked. It's a shame.

Depends what you like. I love the tech focus, fast pace, focus on reasoning and writing, and big law pay. But it’s a shitload of work, which is enough to keep exit always at the edge of my thoughts.

I love my job and truthfully can’t imagine doing anything else. Now, I’m definitely swamped and feeling some of the stress, but I wouldn’t trade it.

Are there any agencies where creatives actually have good work-life balance in LA, SF or anywhere else for that matter? Like no weekends or no working more than a 40-50hr week? Or do I have to go in house for this? Or do I have to leave advertising altogether?

I feel like I’m either getting burnt out by work or trying to heal myself from it. There’s never much time for real life and I don’t want to be on my death bed reminiscing like, “Wow, I made some cool ads.” Nothing scares me more.
