Hi Fishes, I am here to ask your help , i gave an interview to Tata Capital and selected for the position but the HR is not contact me about the salary negotiation or anything. I was called the HR and they said they didn't receive manpower approval. I have hardly 5 days left to join the new organization. What can I do ? Congrats!!!! So excited for you. The best advice I can give you is enjoy every single moment. The good and uncomfortable. Protect this time. Don’t let your career or anyone around you steal the beauty of this moment. Rooting for you! - mom of 4.
Call your OBGYN to schedule your first appointment (anywhere from 8 to 10 weeks). Coffee is fine under 200mg of caffeine. Get on a prenatal vitamin with folic acid. Enjoy this time; it’s so special. Congratulations!!!!
Congrats! I use the What to Expect app

Congrats! Being pregnant is a weird and wild ride - I’ve never felt more fully human and simultaneously fully animal than during pregnancy and delivery. Your body is doing amazing things right now!
Read Emily Oster (Expecting Better, etc). You don’t need to quit caffeine, sushi (except tuna), most meds. The only things you should skip are drinking, smoking and deli turkey.
In C1’s defense, I was told by my OB last pregnancy that sushi is fine and actually encouraged because of all the benefits (omega 3s etc.). THAT SAID, I also live on a coast where (1) we have access to fresh fish and (2) restaurants are required to flash freeze fish. She also made it a point to say obviously use your judgment.. like don’t eat from gas stations etc. Honestly, if I lived in the middle of the country or a place that doesn’t have a solid restaurant scene, I would probably avoid.
The blanket recommendation not to eat raw fish is really for those people in parts of the country who only have access to questionable fish.
Congrats!! Many blessings in this new season of life!
Congrats! Please screen your skincare products. I didn’t know that so many of my products (ones containing AHA / BHA for example) may be risky for an infant.
For this I highly recommend the blog “15 minute beauty”!! It is a pediatrician who was frustrated about the lack of guidance on pregnancy-safe skincare so she took it upon herself to screen literally any and all products!
If not too late, wait until after first trimester to tell people at work to make sure everything is safe so people don’t keep asking you about it if anything goes wrong. This is a lesson people don’t want to say but it is true. Even if you get over a miscarriage, people will keep asking you about it and you may be working on getting back on track. So enjoy this exciting time but mum is the word at work if possible.
Congratulations!!!!! When I first got pregnant I went from 4-5 cups of coffee a day to 2 and then down to 1. But I have read 2 cups a day is fine. Keep ginger chews and barf bags in your purse/office/car as morning sickness may kick in soon. (I announced my pregnancy when my paralegal caught me throwing up one morning). Sleep as much as you can and enjoy this time!

Congratulations! Set up an appointment with your OB. They will review everything with you. But discontinue any retinol in your skincare. It can lead to birth defects. No cold cuts. No raw sushi. No overheating your body (saunas, hot tubs). Take a daily prenatal with folic acid and DHA.
This.
Hello and congratulations from a fellow pregnant 35 year old! So excited for all that comes ahead for you. Everyone else has given you good advice, so I’ll just add, REST. Rest rest rest. Especially first trimester it is exhausting. And if you end up with severe nausea (I did with this pregnancy) talk to your OB and don’t be afraid to try medication, it’s the only way I got through for like…17 weeks lol. You got this. Enjoy the beauty of what your body can do!!
Yay congrats! What an exciting time for you!!
Congrats!!
Congratulations!!!!!!!!!! Such amazing news!!!
Congratulations!!! Being pregnant and welcoming our children has been the best experience of my life. It is tough some days, but will be so worth it :)
