They are definitely low balling you. I would say get a competing offer to move them higher. Your comp should be 150 base, 80k+ stocks over 4 years. I typically don’t negotiate on signing because long term at our level it’s meaningless. You have to get the other things increased.
You should be closer to 200k/yr
I agree it might be a lil a low, but also came from pwc and would suggest to also look at the difference in benefits in this calculation. Microsoft for example matches 50% of all 401k contributions. Not to say you shouldn’t ask for more, but the benefit value is significant in total comp figures.
Yeah so 9.75 a year if you put in the full 19.5k. Immediate vest too.
Agree with M1 on benefits. It’s great!
Not too sure about your offer since I’m not familiar with Tech Specialist role. I would ask the recruiter for your standard level 60-68 type of thing and compare against other comp in this sheet. Tinyurl.com/2020msft
At a high level, I’d say ask for at least some signing bonus but you might be able to get more value if you ask for higher stocks/base? I guess that’s not too helpful lol
It’s a level 62, thanks for the sheet I will look into it.
Hi OP, Would you be willing to chat on DM ? Had some questions on that role.
