Hey guys! So I have a Top Secret Clearance and recently joined Amazon in a position that doesn’t require it. Would Amazon offer to host my clearance considering that they are looking for multiple people with this type of clearance? I’m open to cleared work but was hired for a commercial Strategy and just not sure if I should bring it up? Thought?

I would. In a heartbeat. IPPs may not have the same “prestige” but they carry a solid book of business for core outsourced operations and they’re always looking for onshore presence to hold the clients hand.
Cog is an IPP with a large amount of headcount in India, but US HQ and under European leadership (since last year). They are making a lot of changes for the better. Their head of industry consulting in an ex McK guy.
Made a similar jump - plenty of need for strategy talent there. See if they won’t pay even more
Bain1- where did you go? What role are you in?
Out of the frying pan into the fire 🔥
For 200k? I’d be begging them to take me
Worked at Tata recently. D1 has it right. They will tell you what you want to hear to get you in the door and it’s on you to make them deliver it (you have to be pushy - ALL THE TIME).
Not a bad place, but if you aren’t Indian it is a bit of a culture shock. If you want vertical career growth, they will let you have it.
Got it. Dming you.
How big of a jump is this? If this is from a 135 to 200 maybe yes? 170 to 200 perhaps not.
They’re a sweat shop. Plan on being overextended, over promised, and under staffed like any firm, but with the added benefit of being viewed like a nameless, faceless cog. But hey, take the job and use it as a springboard to go somewhere else.
Ah yes, the IPP haters have arrived! Some brands command value, others are just workhorses. No shame in being a workhorse!

Hmm depends on the long term play. If you plan to stay in consulting I’d consider it. If planning to jump to industry and some point, consider that Tata brand doesn’t carry same weight as Big 4 when moving.
Agree with D3. If long term you’re looking to go to a competitive industry company, stick with brand name firm not TCS. That is unless it’s like a 50% raise...
I had TCS reach out to me for a SME role for over $200k the other day.
Personally not what I’d like to do at this point in my career, but nice to know there are places that will pay you decently for purely delivery with no management responsibilities
Did you take the job? OP
Ok I feel better about my latest decisions after reading this
$70K jump in base, 20% bonus after only 5 YOE ........why not???? Is it a role and practice you like, can grow in?
If it doesn’t work out you can always boomerang back
I’d focus more on the role and if it’s going to be work you enjoy and gain experience... if it is, no brainer
Damn
I'll make the move!
Anyone from TCS wanna hire me?
Signing bonus? Similar situation for me with 2 yoe
Not an offer but was talking to recruiter who quoted me for $130k with 2 yoe
