Director looking at ur abilities, Partner looking at his Cost vs Benefits. Sorry to say this but, My guess is Partner wins. He’s the signing authority.
They typically make better margin on rate cards with a C vs. SC.
You shouldn’t take an offer for C if at a capability level you are SC, unless the experience is going to supercharge your career or your desperate to move. You’ll just resent pushing for the next promotion

This is very much my situation, I feel as though I’ve hit the ceiling at my current firm (due to politics, and the way my Practice operates). I’ll be happy with SC and nothing less, and I will not settle. Thanks for the words of encouragement BCG1, and I’m glad you’re killing it now! ❤️

Nope, my last round was with that Director. I got an e-mail from the recruiter telling me what their thoughts are, and to wait for an overall decision
