Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

Sometimes these moments happen. Sharing helps knowing it’s not you or just you. Other than that, letting go of smaller stuff while focusing on imp stuff works for me. My house is beautiful but except on the cleaning day it’s a mess due to kids. I know when kids will go away for college and onwards the house will be clean, what bother now. Compartmentalizing works. Cry it out and move on. Do the next immediate and push away less imp ones. One step / thing at a time. Don’t think it all together.

Count the blessings, you have 2 wonderful kids and those are your biggest blessings, you have a job and can afford nice things and cleaning crew, things aren’t always as bad as they feel especially when you compare your blessings and see how blessed you are compared to 90%+ people
I try, and they bring me the most joy over anything. But ALS is just absolutely devastating as far as diseases go.
That is a lot. One thing at a time. ❤️
Deal with issue by issue, prioritize, and I guess any kind of talk therapy will be great immediately. Dont rush into meds decision when life is this rushed - think through for a few days and get expert opinion. Good luck!
Should add I go to therapy and don’t see an SSRI making this go away
If you’re vacillating on SSRIs, perhaps learn about Zembrin. No tapering off, fully non-prescription, very mild. Note, this is not medical advice, I am not a medical professional, and you should speak with one first
Thank you, I’ve been on 2 different ones in the past and just didn’t feel like I saw a difference enough to matter, and while it may have “numbed” the edges a bit on anxiety, I feel like we’re way past anxiety now and I feel like I’m more in crisis mode trying to figure all of this out.
Landing that I’ll probably have to leave my job so I can take care of my kids, myself, and be there for dad. Just finding it too hard to balance everything.
