Not at KPMG but get a PPO/POS product - better to pay more in premiums and have a known cost of coverage vs a high deductible plan with lower costs but potentially high out of pocket expenses.
Choose the plan with the highest maternity coinsurance (ex 80-100%) for maternity related features, lower copayments on hospital stays, etc.
In general PPOs are the richest plans unless you live in an area with an HMO network (California and the west)
Map it out - you might be surprised. I have three kids and the cheapest plan is best for us with low or high expenses. There are small windows in the middle where each of the other plans make sense. The premiums are so much higher on the top plan I can max out my HSA and still come out ahead in most cases.
If your due date is early in the year it probably tilts towards the ppo option
We had a baby on the high deductible plan and it was pretty painless. We contributed to our HSA and PwC contributed some too and that covered everything out of pocket. Depends on your plan but I wouldn’t discount the high deductible off the bat
