I am in a tech IC position. One of friends switched to FAANG by converting the profile to consultant profile. The friend who might have less tech knowledge than me is now in FAANG and earning more. If the end goal would be that the friend might one day be a product manager and me an engineering manager taking instructions from the same friend, isn't consultant profile an easier path to growth. Anyone resigned from EY recently? While resignation in the exit portal the notice period says 90days which is different from the offer letter which is 60days. Did EY changed notice period policy to 90days?

My TL gave me low rating (3.9) just because I resigned. On the other hand, TCS is giving me retention offer. I am getting 4 LPA more outside compared to retention offer made by TCS.

What's stopping you from opening your own small business along with your day job? You could earn a lot without much effort. We all are educated people, working in MNCs, very good at what we do then why not earn more? You could open small business such as fast food corner or even small restaurant. This does not stop us doing our day job, after setting up your business you can just recruit right people seeing it and only small input would be needed from you. Opinion?
