I tried to use them when I didn’t have a ton of experience and was desperate for a new position. They weren’t really interested, but still would not stop spamming all of my emails, even well after I found a new position. The managing director who does all their blogging feels scummy and seems to really hate the legal profession; those posts have tons of mistakes and bad advice. I just got a really bad vibe from all interactions.
My recruiter (Becca Levine—Harvard Law and Skadden Alumni) from them was phenomenal. Got a great offer within 3 weeks of working with her. They wouldn’t touch me until I was a 3rd year, but once they schedule a call, the experience was incredible.
Not all firms pay lockstep. For firms that do, some ask laterals to go down a level.

I don’t know them but Harrison Barnes from there portrays big law firms like it’s a bad parody of Lord of the Flies. If you read his stuff, you’d think you’ll be fired if you ever breath air outside the office.
It depends on the recruiter. Just go with someone at it least 5 years of experience.They have a reputation to protect at that point

If they cared about their rep, they wouldn't be at BCG.
I was using them but ultimately found my job on my own. Don’t think they’re worth it, but I also believe self-applications and utilizing your network/alumni base is the better route to take
I preferred using Tower Legal when I was actively seeking jobs.
