How about we all get together and start our own firm? We will save so much on hiring process and can leverage our cliebt connections
Depends on your definition of "rich". My goal (just like 99% of people) is to become financially independent, aka able to retire. Having an extra $10-30k a year to invest will help A LOT in reaching that goal sooner. The fact that you think a chunk of change like that doesn't matter proves how out of touch with reality you are.
If we're not going to be rich wouldn't that be the exact reason we should fret over a mere $10-$30k?
Sorry we frustrate you OP. But where I come from 10-30k is a hell of a lot of money. Perhaps it's chump change for you.
Well, as someone who is underpaid by about $30k and has close to $100k in student loans, I'm not ready to settle, but I like your point.
Op you're an idiot
This post doesn't make sense
Actually, another 10-30k would be pretty significant to my standard of living...
Rich Dad, Poor Dad up in here
But the thing is if jumping around and collecting Ks and promotions here and there doesn't hinder time 'til partner, why not talk about it and do it until we're all partners?
Well an extra 10k a year would get me a little closer to being rich. I could buy 10k lottery tickets and maybe be a millionaire over night. Boom.
Guess what all of the people who upvoted my first comment did? They pushed me over the 5,000 love point mark. May I please cash my FB love point in for compensation now?
Same person posting "can we as a collective..." calling it.
Rich people got rich by doing the exact opposite... They give a shit about every penny. That's why they're rich.
I guess another way to look at it is none of us will get rich doing regular jobs. You either stand out and take risks or prepare to work the majority of your life (or save so much that you can retire somewhat early)
While I agree with most of the sentiment in here, I do see OPs point in that if being *rich* is your goal, consulting will not get you there.
I understand your point OP- so why are you still at Deloitte?
Op couldnt disagree more...$30k*10 years = 1/2 of a house . You should fight for every dolllar you can get
Last time you got that 2% bonus you can buy 1k lottery tickets after tax 😂
LOL. No im not the same poster as the other Deloitte guy about points.
