I think the point is what do you have to say, K1?

Hey I’m from KPMG ops risk! Super interested in what people will say!

Location?

Charlotte

Anyone want to drop a burner to talk about thw group? Probably looking to move in the fall.

Oh that is Tim Phelps (partner) territory. Haven’t heard anything bad. Fall is good time, that is when the fiscal year finishes.

The culture part is our brand at KPMG generally. Don’t know about that group per se, though.

Culture varies greatly within different groups p1. Was hoping to hear specifics on this group

Not as much in some places than others. But there is only one person so far on this thread that can answer this for you specifically

Fair enough p1. Appreciate your perspective on this.

I’m also in Ops Risk. Pipeline seems light at the moment but Fall is a good time. We’re pretty dependent on large regulations (think NMS scale) or some sort of LOS work. They’re trying to change into more ERM type work but that’s slowly progressing. Personally, I’d never choose this service line again if I had to do it all over again.

I’m in Ops Risk and can say that our group is often noticed for our strong culture by others within KPMG. Lead partner is very well connected / respected (US Advisory vice chair is his long time mentor) and that has benefited the group as a whole. We’re recruiting a lot across all of our solutions and headcount targets for next year are aggressive.

Yeah I've been keeping tabs through the year. Seems that you all hiring pretty aggressively. My burner is fishburner191@gmail.com if anyone wants to drop me a referral and get some $$

That mean you’re coming?

Looking at the fall. Going to ride out my paternity leave in a month and collect my bonus

Welcome

I am looking to gain certification or other credentialing in diversity and inclusion, not only because it would look good on my resume both for future job-search purposes and also to become better educated in this area, which is growing in importance. I looked at SHRM's "Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty Credential" and got a bit of "sticker shock" at the cost - $1,655.00 for members. Hi 👋🏻 I’m new here! For people working in big 4 risk assurance, how many clients do you generally juggle at a time and how many hours do you typically work in a week? I like the work, but it’s just not a great culture fit and I’m thinking of boomeranging back to public but for IA to get more of that experience.

My first cross team interaction was with contractors. I felt like ZS is similar to any other IT company keeping the culture in mind. After a few days, I have had a chance to talk with ZSers and I must say you guys are one of the best people I have interacted with in my career. So empathetic and helpful. Cheer guys. How can we inculcate the same behaviour in contractors?

This is such a basic question, but what’s the best way to give my two weeks and not have things be completely awkward at work? I’m leaving to do the same type of work, but at a firm that I worked for in law school and that I know has a much better culture. My boss has a tendency to be passive aggressive towards people that are leaving and given that my office is right next to hers I’m worried my last two weeks are going to be so uncomfortable. Suggestions/advice?
