Tired of the black box approach to comp when generating 1-2m in billables/ year.

Have you had comp discussions as yet? What was your promo raise from S1 to S2, what practice and city?

I’ve been a Software Developer at FedEx for over 3 years, making 75k plus a small bonus of ~$6k. I’m fine with the lower salary because of the great work/life balance, but seeing how much others are making at similar companies makes me think I’m getting ripped off. I’d like to be making six figures, but am worried about work/life balance if I leave FedEx. Thoughts?
Question as a woman that continues to undervalue herself. I have an interview w a large company as a product designer w 3+ years exp, they had asked me what my salary expectations were. I asked them what their budget for the position was, and they had said 200k. It was 80k more than I had in mind, so in the moment I agreed. A part of me is feeling like I should ask for a lower salary bc I’m psyching myself out before the interview, thinking I’m not valuable enough. If you were in my shoes, WWYD?
For my fellow operating room nurses, can we talk about salary? How long have you been a RN and what is your base salary?
I graduated from college a year ago with a HR Management degree and I’ve been working at my full time HR Assistant job for a year now. At my one year review they bumped my hourly rate to $20.19. I feel that is pretty low. Any thoughts?
I have an offer from MindTree. DoJ was 21 Sep but was not getting relieving from current company. Hence requested to give a revised DoJ (1month extension). Does the offer/salary also need to be revised. My current company is offering me a retention hike thats not close to MindTree offer. However, there are no documents and they will revise it internally in the system. How can I prove this to MindTree?
How does Kroll, Alvarez & Marsal and FTI compares to Deloitte or PwC Forensic capabilities and digital tools used.
How would you rank the forensics practice of each?
Would you consider leaving to any of the mentioned if a higher grade and a salary bump were offered ?

Hi there! I’ve found that we have our knowledge share across multiple platforms (sharepoint, servicenow, emails) it’s not well maintained and I want to consolidate it. I’m thinking ServiceNow the obvious choice since it exists today in our infrastructure and can be tied in to our incidents but wanted to survey others to see what your company is using. X-posted

Is company project always better than personal project in an interview? I have 15- 20 minute to present 1 UX project and Idk which one I should pick.
Project 1: App design. Personal project. More “typical” UX project.
Project 2: Non-traditional UX (Not an app or website). Company project. Very little design variations but shows research and teamwork.
I assume that interviewers will see both case studies before the interview. Should I just ask them which one they want OR show my company project?
How do you detect distributed system leader failure other than with a timeout?
Reading DDIA and it alludes to other options, but then just says most systems use a timeout (which makes sense, but curious)
I have joined a start-up.
It's all good except for the fact that they don't adhere to the end time sometimes.
They schedule team meetings even after the end time and nobody objects to it.
I don't like it as I'm losing my personal time. I'm hesitant to say coz others r ok with it.
Can I just speak up and not attend the meetings ?
