Best bet is probably Luxembourg, Amsterdam or Frankfurt as these are all very international and english-language friendly. Luxemburg has a lot of investment funds where fund accounting experience may come in handy. Frankfurt has a lot of foreign banks where some international accounting experience will be useful. Amsterdam has a a lot of international firms and is very english friendly. Although the ACCA in itself isn’t directly useful here since it is more of UK title the IFRS knowledge can be transferred to larger (listed) corporates. I’m with PwC and I think this type of experience would probably be very useful in our CMAAS department (capital markets accounting and advisory services) as they work quite strongly with IFRS.
Thank you very much for your insight. This helped me a lot.
