Volvo XC60 (which I have and love) or the XC90 if you have humans or dogs or a home that requires hauling actual stuff and therefore need more room.

We love our 60. The 90 has been known to have quality issues. Especially with safety features

I’m a woman. It’s what I drive when I’m in the Bay Area. My SO is bicoastal. I love how it drives. Sometimes makes me want to stay there. But then I come to my senses 😂

These are very underrated. Not your dad's Lincoln. You do have to option it up but if you do, it's really something else

Been looking for the exact same thing and my short list is:
- Benz GLE (no air suspension)
- Lincoln aviator (I wouldn't normally consider an American vehicle but this one is impressive optioned up, comes in gas or plug in hybrid, air suspension)
- Porsche Cayenne (comes in gas or plug in hybrid, air suspension, slightly smaller than the rest)
- Genesis GV80 (only comes in gas, questionable reliability, no air suspension)
- Audi Q7 (if you like the tech gadget look)

Air suspension is a must if you want true road comfort

BMW X5- it’s a great car and gives great mileage. Can get from Atlanta to Orlando on a tank of gas

Hybrid Highlander would be my choice. Maybe x5 if you want a luxury brand

I love our XC90 (T6) but we get about 21 mpg combined so although it’s not terrible on fuel it’s not great either. Hybrid might help a bit, I’m hoping a full electric version comes out soon!

Have you been fired before even starting your new job?

I signed for a new job two months ago and will start next month (3 mo notice period in Europe). They were very keen on getting me on-board ASAP before signing but since I signed the contract it has been silent from the new employee. I've emailed them with questions as I'll be re-locating to NL and it takes them 1-2 weeks to reply. Given all that's going on in the world, I'm worried they might fire me before I even start.

Need advice. Have some credit card debt that I’ve been working to pay off. Have made progress but want to lower it quickly. We have dual income, with a house (~$300k in equity), 1 kid and 1 on the way. I’ve looked into debt consolidation via HELOC but also have ~$80k in vested equity in my company that I haven’t touched. Get equity refreshes every year. Would it be smarter to cash out $15k-$20k of that to pay debt vs. a HELOC at ~5% given that will still require mthly payments

Partner quit their job, and according to job contract, have to pay back "training costs" since they left before an agreed-upon amount of time. When it comes to taxes, how should I treat this amount? In the past, I've been able to use a W2C if I payback sign-on bonus, but since the "training" was not income, not sure what to do.

Started new job at a non-F500 (CorpDev) this week (got offered +45% over my previous base).

Received an offer today from EY, which is +35% over my current base.

I kinda like the CorpDev gig more and have very little motivation to join EY (that particular team). Can I still use their offer to pump up my current base here at the non-F500?

How can I ask for a raise and not set wrong impression so early on?
