The company said the case managers are the backbone to their organization. Is the workload much greater than the in home nurse? How do I effectively utilize my special ed ea?

Anyone else the last to be informed about ANYTHING at their site? I am only a second year SPED teacher and my eyes are already wide open to the fact that admin and Gen Ed teachers so often fail to inform me about important things regarding the grade levels I teach and other school events. Then I’m left scrambling to inform my students and parents of essential information, and I’m embarrassed! My aides also look at me like why don’t you know this? Aggravating.

Anyone else feeling less respected/ appreciated from Gen Ed teachers, you collaborate with? If so, how do you deal with this?

Hi. I am a Transition teacher in California. I would like to know what is the ratio of students to staff for community outings in your districts? I have been teaching in my district for 20+ years and it has always been 4:1 ratio for our moderate/severe transition classes. The 11th grade classes I can very much do whatever I (or the student) want/need…there isn’t a set curriculum
