Hi everyone, I'm comparing two offers from Accenture and Cognizant. Could you help me figure out some of these questions: 1. At 5 YOE, what kind of package can I expect? Current offers: Accenture (12LPA fixed, 2.5L variable), Cognizant (14.3LPA fixed, 45K variable) 2. Nature of work - What kind of work can I expect from these companies? 3. would I get the opp to use any authoring Tools? 4. Work life balance - which is better? 5. Increments - avg % hike? 6. Culture - which is better?

I am a Principal Solutions Architect with 13 YOE of which 5 years exp is with Biotech focusing on Public Cloud (AWS) & overall AWS exp. 9 years. I need suggestions /opinions if applying for a Senior Solutions Architect (Level6) at AWS makes sense or if I should aim for a Principal SA (level 7) role at AWS with Healthcare & Lifesciences industry experience. If it makes any difference, I worked for AWS ProServe as an external SA in the past. Any insights / feedback appreciated.

Like getting the security+ first would help with the material for the CISSP. Also, I feel like it could be a confidence booster and motivator if I got it first. I've out of the industry for a bit and I'm transitioning back in but I don't want to waste my time with sec+ it it's not worth it's weight anymore.
How many years of security and IT compliance do you have? A lot of people without a previous security oriented cert don’t do well on the CISSP. Generally 10 years of exp in IT security for CISSP
I have about 3 years. I've known people with less than that take the CISSP and pass it. I've heard it is a tough exam though however difficulty is also relative.
Read as much material as you can At ex study guide, 11th hour CISSP. Run through test simulations daily in 50, 100, and 150 packs of questions. Take 10 simulations straight without getting anything less than an 89% and you'll be more ready.
Took the security+ and passed. 1 week of intense quizlets is all you’ll need for that. CISSP much more intense

What about the SSCP? Thoughts?
One thing to know about the CISSP is it’s like a 6 hour exam. Also if you fail it they purposely don’t ask you the same questions you failed before. I spoke with a CISSP administrator once and he said a guy once took it multiple times and could never figure out why even though he studied the sections he missed he kept failing
@BAH 1: The exam has been trimmed as of January 1, 2018; 3hrs, 150 questions, algorithm-based. What are you thoughts on the new format? Personally, I would have enjoyed that over a grueling 6 hour exam lol. 😄
Definitely go for the CISSP over the CISA if you are not interested in having both. More technically challenging and security focused.
With (or without in some cases) an intensive boot camp, the CISSP can be passed with a week or two of prep. I passed the CISA with lest than that and 2 years of experience at a large CSP
