Yes.
Yeah, the big 4 are all about years on your resume, not competency.
You won't have to worry about them laughing.....cuz you won't even get an interview
Depends on the company you're coming from. Don't listen to the others putting you down, sometimes the level of experience you have outweighs the years. It doesn't hurt trying, don't limit yourself.
Yes. Yes they will.
Most firms won't consider manager until you have 5 years of experience, minimum.
Lol.
1 yr staff, 2 yr senior, now going into forth busy season as super.
Ignoring Big4, it is super common to go to another firm and lose a title. For example, a colleague of mine was a Director and left for another firm and they hired him as Senior Manager. I'm not saying that's how it always happens, but it is common enough that you shouldn't get your hopes up.
After only 3 years of experience, you're not ready to be manager.
What is a supervisor at rsm and how long have you been one?
More than likely they will keep you at senior. I've seen some get bumped down to staff 2 if their prior experience didn't match
I guess it depends. How old are you? Find it hard to believe you made supervisor after 3 years..? Unless it was 2 years staff, 1 year sr and now you're in year 4 at supervisor.
Have you run an engagement before? Are you experienced in SEC reporting, complex accounting issues, handling a budget, SOX testing, etc...? Likely that with only 3 years experience you're a few years too junior to be considered for manager position.
