Received a job offer from both Amazon and Microsoft in US as account manager for their advertising business. Very similar compensation. Amazon ads seem more interesting and exciting and growing aggressively, whereas for Microsoft will be working mainly with Bing ads. However, Microsoft seems to have better work life balance and culture. Any insights on anyone working in these roles?

Also, I guarantee if they are scouting associate producers for a "program manager" position, they are looking to pay a lot less than what a program manager with 10 years experience would be worth. Or worse, they don't understand what a program manager does and you'll basically be an associate producer there. Ask LOTS of questions before you take the job.
Associate producer to program manager? That's quite a jump. How many years as a producer are we taking about? it depends on your experience not title. I would frankly say don't even take the job and get more experience as a producer first. Something fishy about a company willing to hire an associate producer into that role who didn't climb at least to sr or executive producer first. No offense intended of course.
Sounds like SDP is a little low key jealous. OP, don't go for anything less than 70k
Seems like at tech companies production titles translate more to program manager titles rather than how production experience maps to titles in agencies but hear you loud and clear- thanks
Ok that being said let's assume it's equivalent to a mid level agency producer. 75-90k - can vary widely but again depends on experience.
Haha. Nope not jealous at all. No desire to 1. Be a program manager (ever), 2. Work at a startup again. I barely like being a producer as it is.
