Haven’t worked at M but genuinely like all my coworkers and most are really fun, staffing model is Americas so can be put on projects anywhere in US/CAN (also MX/BR, depending on skills / needs). Very collegial management, would say our seniors are generally younger since majority don’t get MBAs so EM/PR/Partners are generally homegrown, our best performers get promoted quickly (we have one yearly review cycle), though progression slows once you reach EM/Principals (generally 2-3 yrs at EM, 2-4 years at PR, mainly depends on your Partner case at the PR level). Really strong office culture with fun events, weekly happy hours, etc.
Pay has increased but we still lag M, our model is entirely dependent on progression though so if you’re truly a top performer, you might find equal / higher pay at OW (esp. for junior consultants, the tricky spot is once you’re past EM). New salary range for EMs 200-220 with TC range of 212-270, keep in mind system is a total comp system that equalizes your pay based on what you get promoted to, as an example let’s say you start at EM1 and get promoted to EM4.5 (top of range), your bonus would be (assuming a 1k firm number which is based on firm performance): 270 (TC) - 200 (EM1 salary) so 70k
We’re hiring like crazy right now bc demand is really high!
Thanks for the insights buddy!
Same staffing model as McKinsey but with a more collegial culture. Pay was recently raised but will still probably lag Mck a bit.
Thanks C1! How about type of projects? Is there a lot of strategy?
But why tho?
Well, career jump and better pay.
