McKinsey & Company McKinsey & Company heard of peoples getting calls over weekends - why would that be? Do interviewers ever do discussions over the weekend?

M2 is wrong. Got my call Saturday morning. Weekend calls happen but rarely.

like

My statement was for the calibration call. Not the call out to candidates.

For calibration, unless it was a super day during the weekend (very rarely, usually for other global, non US offices), I have never had take place during weekend

But they happen only to give the good news, but for interviews

like

Discussions are frequently late Friday afternoon. I try and do my calls same-day, but sometimes I just don’t get to it.

like

Potentially. If they call, they call. Can’t control it

like

No, only Friday late PM

Do you have advice on how to interview better with Amazon?

My résumé and portfolio are great, and I’ve been asked to interview with Amazon for 4 different teams now. However, it seems like I’m not making it past the first 1:1 interview. 3 out of 4 have resulted in not the right fit for reasons unknown; they don’t provide any feedback either. I have been invited for a new interview today with another team, and I am hoping 4th time is the charm. Any tips on how to do better next time?

Hi..
I Appeared for an interview for RPA - Automation Anywhere. I didn't got any response after the interview. Then when I reached hiring manager through LinkedIn I got to know I cleared all the rounds but my expected cts is high so they might have rejected. First thing is I never said what I am expecting . And I clearly told In managerial round that I am open for salary discussion.

But no one responded. Will I get the call back in time? Or I just leave it and go ahead with other companies?

I interviewed with PwC for sf dev two weeks back. Last week I called up the HR who got me interviewed for an update on it but she just said that give us some more time we will get back to you. Is it pretty usual in PwC to take this much time?

🐠, I was laid off from industry during covid and started consulting this year, which was a step back in terms of level and salary. I have received an offer that would allow me to course-correct and advance past where I was before. I like my current firm and have put a lot of effort into making it my new home; however I don’t like my project and am stuck on it. I am terrified of making a move so soon into a role that isn’t a fit or worse, results in another layoff. Appreciate all perspective!
