I have never had my own either. My two boys are in heaven. When my second husband decided no kids it was a hard pill to swallow but I realized you don’t have to have your own kids to be a mother.
That’s really sweet! Thanks for sharing. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas.
I’ve always thought that women who don’t have children serve a special purpose in the lives of the children in their sphere. Because they don’t have families in their house, they can give to kids in a different way. As a mother, I often feel somewhat depleted, and I really appreciate when one of the childless women in my world can pick up the slack. I hope this is coming out right! I have just always appreciated the emotional generosity of so many of the childless women I have known. Those folks who don’t have children should never have to feel like they aren’t important!
Thanks for this. I felt the same way when I realized I wasn’t having kids.
I totally understand your predicament. We put so much time and energy into the kids we teach. I met my husband when I was 33 and we were married by 34. And now I have 2 children. You never know what the Lord will bring into your life. The right person will come and maybe you are destined to adopt children who really need the love you provide. You are so much more than just your job. I have so many kiddoes I teach every day that I know they would be so much happier in a better home environment. If I took them all home I would need a hotel. So Love the kids you have and keep the faith, that your time will come. My job is my purpose.
I try to show my students they are loved and accepted no matter who they are. Just don’t forget to take care of you. And all your dreams will come true.
You do you. Two children, 20 children, adopted children, no children. You decide what is needed for you to live your best life. And it’s nobody else’s business.
