Hi I’m currently in the reserve unit. And have an AT coming up next month for 2 weeks. And due to the unpredictable economy environment. Do you think if KPMG will lay off people has low utilization (military leave) and average/below average performer?
I left a boutique consulting company because I felt under utilized. Joined a larger supposedly hip consultancy with local market model with great expectations and am finding myself let down by the experience - the client, work, teamwork and collaboration, technical content is not per what was promised and feels like I am back to my b4 days. I was a fool to fall for the kumbaya in consulting crap - I am best developing products with great teams. Industry looks down on me. What are my options?
What are some utilization (billing hours) targets out there for roles with direct reports? If lower than individual contributors, do staffing levels reflect this? I.e. target is 65% billable, but still staffed at 40+ hours
If there were a billable code for reading online Game of Thrones theories, my Monday utilization would be through the roof
I feel like my skill set is being under utilized. 10-20% of the work I do is predictive modeling / data viz & the rest is correcting minutes, powerpoints, and other BS. Has anyone else been here?
How do you teach yourself to care less? I am always stressed and over worked while other seniors on my team are 50% utilized don't care and still get promoted. I also want to have the idc attitude..
what is projected utilization for other firms in September? I think EY FSO-ITA is looking less than 70%
What's the lowest utilization you've seen an associate get promoted to senior? And why do people get promoted despite low utilization?
My practice for example - maybe I'm the minority here. But our MDs emphasized over and over again that it is their fault that we have no works to do. It's NEVER our fault if we have low utilization.
Does this help utilization or what
So PwC has $1k for care if reg care not available per fiscal period. Has anyone utilized? How much max per day? What support do you need to provide?
How does charging the client work in the event you finish early? Recently joined consulting. From my understanding, as a Consultant, a metric they judge us on is utilization. If you are booked on projects totaling 40 hours (100%) but do not have enough work to fill in the time or you finish early, do you book less time? My assumption is that would hurt utilization but also does not seem ethical KPMG Deloitte
1st year auditor here in west coast office. I’m book 60 hours this week however I only worked 48 hours. We’re still waiting on supporting docs and my senior tells me to log of early. Will this impact my performance and utilization?
Hi all, I'll be moving out to San Diego for a few months and wont have a car, can I get around downtown without one? Also, what areas within downtown are safe?
I was offered a job in DC that's a pretty steep raise for me, but to be honest, I don't feel comfortable living in the city proper. I don't agree with the mandates, and I've heard crime is super high. Any advice on good areas?
Best exit options from management consulting? I’m currently a consultant at Accenture in their Strategy & Consulting practice. Debating on just switching to another consulting firm or going straight into industry and having more WLB. Any experience or advice would be helpful 😅
About to join a Big 4 in 3 weeks and just found out that I'm pregnant. Will I still be eligible for parental leave?
How do you tell if an employer is okay with visa sponsorship on linkedin job posting? Some employers clearly mention that they are okay with this. For the ones that don’t, how do you find this info? Is the default assumption that an employer doesn’t sponsor? Looking at product roles in tech/startups.
Switched jobs in the middle of the year. Will my 401k contributions automatically cap off or do I need to manually stop payments around the time I hit the fed max limit?
Firm just required us to get a booster shots (presumably even to WFH). Advice on whether it’s worth stirring the pot and trying to avoid compliance? I’m vaccinated, but honestly just don’t want to get a shot every quarter, which is what the progression is looking like.
$$$ ACN actual salary data $$$ location, level, actual pay - happy or not with market? -- go
My toxic trait is that as soon as work starts getting to stressful I start interviewing elsewhere, no matter how short of time I’ve been there.
Does anyone have insight into Jones Day MN? In particular whether the pay is market and what the culture is like there. TIA
Starting interviews, any insight into Global Product Lead role? Particularly within Google Ads. Thanks!
Slalom salary range? Been in the Salesforce Consulting space for about 4 years now. Sounds like a great place to work is the pay competitive?
For people who have moved somewhere very remote do you think you’ll have a hard time landing your next job? Like your current job let you move remote, but then you won’t meet people working for good companies in the middle of nowhere
