Moved to Canada 4 months ago with 7+ yrs Capital Markets BA experience (equities, derivatives, OMS/RMS, trade lifecycle, market data). I’ve reached final interview rounds with banks/consulting firms, but keep hearing I lack “Canadian experience” or need to hit the ground running. Stuck in a catch-22: need Canadian experience to get job, need job to get experience. What helped you break in ? CSC cert, contract roles, networking, or target firms?

I’m thinking of applying for a sales role at Salesforce, but there are so many roles that meet my experience. I don’t want to apply for a bunch of positions, and no one is replying to me for a conversation on LinkedIn. Would anyone here be willing to give me some advice/guidance?

Was just told to "grow our ESG/CSR" practice at a regional consulting firm, due to my recent grad certification in sustainable biz strategy. Wondering where I should focus us as a services industry for big impact: we have a large product innovation, digital engineering area, and know in the past we've had a lot of lip service to clients and only recorded ESG for their compliance.

I got an email from IRCC in April, saying that the application has been approved, and will receive further notice on when I should send my passport for stamping.

But I still haven't received any updates on the next steps.
