My 2.5yr old had diarrhea yesterday into today. Wife kept her home today, and she has been in great spirits but had more diarrhea while napping (with a pull up on). Otherwise she was telling us she needs to go and didn’t have any accidents (she is potty trained). Wife is debating keeping her home tomorrow from daycare. I feel like this is relatively par for the course at daycare and we should send her… one of us would have to take off work. What’s the right call here? What would you do?

Do you think you and your significant other should have similar personalities? My significant other and I are doing long distance and I feel like when I FaceTime with him, I emote more and show interest by asking more questions but from his end, he doesn’t always have a reaction or just nods, and it makes me feel like he’s uninterested. On his end he sees it as he’s comfortable.

I work for a late stage(ipo) start up, earlier this year we were acquired & since then they got rid of our yearly bonuses and gave us an ESOP grant.
2 RIFs later we are almost bare bones. Since we are coming up on our usual yearly evaluations many of us assumed (with multiple conversation from our managers) that pay raises and promotions were due.
In a recent All hands we found out that this year there will be no pay raises nor promotions based off merit. Is it time to jump ship?
