Bain & Company Bain & Company Do you have any insights into what they are expecting in the second (last) round? I saw that there are two cases and a presentation. Are they more interested in professionalism than the "analytical" skills assessed in the first round? Do you have any more insights into the presentation?
Many thanks in advance

Please don’t ever feel the need to prove yourself because you’ll never win. Start looking for a new role
You’re right, loyalty gets us nowhere
That's so disheartening to read. The double standards are real. I would start looking for new roles immediately, if that's the way they treat employees I would want nothing to do with the company.
Yes you’re right sis
Wow I am so sad to hear this OP. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt and say there is probably reasons they were both fired but I think we both know what is really going on here. Its sad that this kind of stuff is still happening in 2024 but it is.
Yeah especially when it’s so few already. I’ve had a few situations when someone has tried to scapegoat me but I was vocal and documented well. But I know what it is
Why did they fire her?
Please know her presentation was not the problem. I worked in sales for a very long time, because it is a hard metric driven role.
The purpose of the role is to produce, she did that, but they wanted her gone. If I were to hazard a guess, she was a little smarter than someone key, without the needed EQ to see she was making key folks uncomfortable.
My husband and I just had a long conversation last night about literal not washing, smelly white guys who were treated with kid gloves at past roles. At one of his past firm's a guy was given an entire floo. Yes, he designed the company database but you couldn't come within 20 feet of him without getting nauseous.
If it's so moves you, tell this woman to file with the EEOC.
A client complaint was used to terminate her and not others, in similar scenarios; that is worth an EEOC investigation and should be addressed accordingly.
Also just a general note to anyone, if you are ever placed on a PIP, you have to beat the PIP and get a new job at the same time.
You are beating the PIP for your own self satisfaction. It makes it easier to tell the story
"I was successful at the job but didn't have the mobility/opportunities/need different comp structure/see your strong position in the market/etc."
A PIP is an invitation to slow walk your way out the door. Basically they're letting you take the stairs, instead of the window.
