My current boss created a hostage & toxic environment. Her behavior toward females vs males is completely different and I have witnessed it. Due to her behavior, I put in a two-week notice - it sucks to lose my job but I can't take the stress anymore. HR wants to meet with me. Any suggestion on what information I can share?

What is the worst reaction you’ve had after giving your notice? I just gave notice and I have never had a boss that tried as hard to make me change my mind as this one. Offered me basically anything I wanted.

The hostility on my team is rough. We have a yeller. I walked by her room the other day. She was screaming across the room at a student, "you have to be kind to get kindness." Seriously, those were her words in a loud, berating, angry tone. Our admin has asked that we not report these. We are to talk to the teacher. She has yelled at me and other adults. Admin has to know she treats the kids this way too. One teacher has to work with her door closed to not hear the yelling all day.

Let’s talk about wrongful termination. The other day I was fired in the middle of the day without any warning. My colleagues called me because they were confused on why the Talent Manager dismissed me from the chat. I didn’t know what they were referring to. So I called my PM to ask what was happening, and she said that she just got off the phone with the TM and said they were terminating my contract on the spot due to me speaking up about micromanaging. Happened many times and I don’t know how to change this - my integrity and work quality is questioned publicly and after much due diligence it gets proven that I did really good. What do I do?

It seems like everyone has a life outside of work and as much as we talk about being collaborative and teamwork, no one on my team actually wants to develop friendships. Is it pointless?
