My fed loan payment is roughly $270, I'm throwing a $350 payment to it instead. How should I select my special payment instruction? Standard Allocation? Across all loans proportionally? Smallest loan balance?

My total balance is currently at $23k, but it's made up of a bunch of small loans.

Forgive me as it’s been awhile since I’ve been in nelnet - but are you able to allocate the extra to your highest interest rate loans?

That unfortunately isn't an option. My servicer was netlnet but now it's CRI which is even more garbage than nelnet's website

Smallest loan balance makes you feel good when you pay it off quickly.

Well yes. Crypto is taxed like stocks & other types of property. When you sell for a profit, you are required to pay tax on the gains. It’s called capital gains tax.

Hello everyone! This is my first time posting since joining this platform. I’m interested in connecting with someone who is open to HR mentoring. Even if it’s for feedback, I would really appreciate it. Thank you!

My last therapist keeps coming up in my mind. I left her when I moved to a new area before COVID dug in and frankly it felt like leaving a girlfriend. She also disclosed in the final session that she was a member of AA and knew several of the people I occasionally discussed from the rooms. Her knowledge of the program certainly built trust with me early on, but it has been two years. I discussed it with my current therapist but she’s still in there. Any advice?

Under contract for nearly 1.1M. Wife and I are at HHI $315k. Will go up in the future, $400k in 3 years and $500k possible in 5-7 years. We have $300k in non-retirement funds, $260k of which will go towards acquiring the house. We have 2 kids and will probably reduce (not maxing) retirement accounts next 18 months to do this. Anyone have any thoughts or feedback? We’ll have to live on a budget and watch but I feel we’ll get used to it and income will grow.

I’ve always been a big saver minimum 15% to maxing out my 401k since I graduated college. I’m married to someone who thinks 6% is enough and likes $$$ cars. I try to guide them and say you want the $$$ cars but the salary you have won’t get there and you’re going to have to find a job that gets them the salary…. Then the fight starts.
