Hello - hope everyone is having a great weekend. I'm looking into risk assurance opportunities at Meta, especially Application Manager, Controls (min 5 YOE) and Manager, Compliance (min 12 YOE). I am a Senior Manager with 9 years of IT risks assurance experience. Does anyone have any thought on which position I should apply? If anyone currently at Meta could share your experience, that would also help. If anyone is open to providing referrals, I could provide my background. Facebook (Meta)

After saying something nicely to your boss, like, “Please go rest, we got this” perhaps mention to your boss’ boss in a nice way, “I want this person to get better and rest.” Response will depend on your company culture.
Way before covid, during the in-office period, an AE at my agency got a bad case of pink eye and her boss still insisted she come in and work. He direct boss didn’t care he just wanted her work done. This AE did come in and thankfully, she had a good relationship with his boss, who understood her situation and quickly reminded her boss that she could unknowingly spread pink eye to him and possibly his kids at home. When he heard that, she was promptly sent home!
Sheesh. I really don't know, tricky to pull off without sounding critical.
Yikes... that's a rough one. I mean you can't necessarily tell them to take off, plus I feel like people get unusually defensive these days. I'm afraid the only answer is to tough it out the next couple days.
Honestly, it’s not your problem. It’s not your job to take care of your boss’s health. She’s only going to be sick temporarily so just deal with the meetings and do your job like normal. The fact that she chooses not to take off when she’s sick is totally on her. I’m very straightforward so I would say, “you should just take the day off since you’re not feeling well.” But at the end of the day, it’s their decision not mine.
This is it, unfortunately
Don't just point out the problem, propose solutions. Suggest they take a few days to recover, offer to help with their workload and ensure they have access to the resources they need while they're out.
Wow, I'd be getting HR involved. Definitely shouldn't be coming in with a confirmed case of covid. That seems like it's putting everyone else's health at risk.
Should have clarified that she is working remote
