My start date got pushed out and I have 6 months until I start working. Used some of my post 9/11 for my MBA but still have benefits left. Looking for ideas for alternatives uses for this that I can do over the next 6 months for personal or professional development. Bonus if I can get MHA at the same time. Any and all ideas appreciated! I live in Denver if that matters

What’s your next job? What have you brainstormed already?

Professional cert in that space, coding bootcamp, NOLS or equivalent for personal growth, international education that’s GI Bill eligible to get paid to travel.

Does that involve work that is similar to project management or process improvement? Does it involve customer experience knowledge? If so, all three of those certifications could be gotten in six months. For customer experience that’s a CX certified certificate, a belt, green belt or black belt for process improvement and then of course a project management certificate for that.

Told my expected CTC and she seemed a bit surprised but didn't negotiate and asked if I have any other offers? I asked when can I expected the OL, she said within a week but didn't take any documents. Can I expect the OL?

Perspective. I’m retiring from the service and I’ve positioned myself decently to be competitive. I have a graduate degree pursuing a doctorate, LSSBB, ScrumMaster, SPHR, and PMI-ACP. I’ve been offered two positions that are great and on the human capital team. For someone in this situation where should I be looking as commensurate with my certifications and experience?

To all the post-9/11 veterans, it’s a somber day that unites us all in the reason we fought. It’s easy to forget - especially with the younger generation having 9/11 be a history lesson rather than something they lived through. The waters became muddy with two wars and politicians, but you all stepped up and did your duty. Thank you all for your service, it’s an honor whether we crossed paths or not.

I am a traditional reservist so I never really used military benefits before, but could use advice here.

I am currently renting and my lease is not up until October 2021, however I found a good deal on a home and scheduled to close in June 2021.

My landlord will not work with me to end the lease early, so it looks like I will have to double up on rent and mortgage through the summer.

If I went on active duty orders, can I use those orders to break my lease early without penalty?
