Need advice 😓 I spent the past couple of years in a creative strategist / copywriter hybrid role. It’s been super interesting but I’ve heard that the “hybrid creative” is kinda played out. How would you navigate searching for your next role?

Is investment accounting a good career path? Looking for any insight to the role, career progression, exit ops, etc. I got the opportunity to work at a very well known wealth asset management company as an investment accountant. I do enjoy finance as well. Pay is very good so I’m wondering if I should take the opportunity?

I am looking to move because for some reason I am hand-held a lot and given simpler tasks, so I am getting bored and want more challenging / much more fast paced environment. I've been working at my current job for about a year now and I'm finally beginning to understand how the company works.

It's not easy, though. It's a small company, which means there are only a few of us in each department. There is no dedicated training team, so we all have to learn new things on the fly through trial-and-error or by asking our coworkers for help. The management team seems to be pretty hands off when it comes to project management and project direction, so it's up to us engineers to figure out how we want to spend our time and who we want to work with.

When you come up with the original concept, and they are given to more senior people in the agency to build out because “that’s how this agency works”, how do you get work to put in your book?

HR, do you use resume software to pick people? If so, would you disqualify a person if they had a 2nd page in the resume that listed out in bullet points keywords related to the position?
