Which one to choose between Optum and Tiger Analytics for Data Scientist position? Where can I expect better data science domain expertise (In my previous companies I found very less understanding of Data Science practices as team)? Heared good things about both of these. Also hearing Tiger is expanding rapidly and getting some crap projects as well in the name of data science. Could someone put light on these things?
YOE: 4.5 Years
Tiger: 18L Fixed + 1L JB
Optum: 21L Fixed + 1.5L JB

“Military vet and small details” are funny to me as a vet.
Short story time. Once during a field drill I found an ACOG (optic) in the field while setting up a patrol base. It had definitely been there for a little bit but I told my team lead, and my platoon sgt. Both didn’t want to deal with the paperwork/having it be an ordeal and said to either chuck it or keep it and say nothing. Meanwhile there’s likely some private being absolutely dressed down for losing it.
Being mil =\= detail oriented. Sincerely a former sham shield 🫡
G1 looking to sell the Acog? I'm too poor to afford a new one

You can already tell the “attorney and military vet” makes being a military vet his entire personality

It was mentioned 3 times in the posting
Is this a job or a jail sentence
45000 and unlimited pto
Or you have to give two months notice to take more than one day

Hard pass for me.
The job pays $50K and offer no equity buts expects you to work like you have equity in the firm in a city like Philadelphia. A big finger to D$W capital.

Haha! Bingo
I like that the job poster harps on attention to detail but punctuates “I.E.” incorrectly and in fact should have used “e.g.,”
When in law school, they literally drill the differences into your head via the blue book and law review. I can guarantee you this guy went to a shit law school and wasn’t on law review.
There’s no way this is a real job post 😂😂
It’s real. I’ve seen it online. Weird way to get people to apply. Reminds of profiles on dating apps where people are like “this is what I don’t want” then write a full list.
Kind of a turn off. Also, no.

Found the job rec. The description of the firm - “WE HELP MILLIONAIRES THINK LIKE BILLIONAIRES” - and some of the bros who run it are 🤢🤢 too

Whomever the photographer was likes overexposed photos. Also not that I’m not about elevating women in the workplace but Mimi listed as a founder has no education experience noted, is a former NFL cheerleader and she’s been married to co founder Jim since 1992. Give this woman a bio that’s more than this
This company gives major ‘its a family so we’re extremely toxic in the workplace vibes’
Salary aside, I find this to be a better recruting practice than when consulting firms talk about cool work and five star hotels in NYC and then put hires on IT audit in Iowa.
People post job descriptions like this as if they are truly changing the world. Then it ends up being like a fintech billing company that tries to smooth out accounts payable.
You’re not Ernest Shackleton, bro.
Ummmmm 🚩!!

I would rather slam the tip of my d*** in a car door than work at this company.
