Can we also get one for the property tax people? My property tax just doubled 😩. This alone would drive me to price the house higher.

If sellers can get their price, that's what the house is worth. If they can't, they will lower it or simply not move. The market is not rocket science. And the housing market is one of the most transparent markets.

It says it’s banned? Was this new and promptly squashed by moderators?

Check out the new subreddit r/housingpostcovid

I just bought my home so no plans on selling anytime soon but… isn’t it worth whatever someone is going to pay for it??

When do you know you've toured enough houses and should pick one from the list you've got? I've seen probably 15-20 homes, and put in one offer. How many homes should you tour minimum, and how many offers did you put in before you closed? I don't want to be too hasty and choose something just because, but I also think continuing to see homes isn't really making my decision any easier. Thanks!

30% gross is $2750/mo 😱
Others say I can afford 600k houses but that seems irresponsible and ridiculous.
My current rent is $1750 for a small 1bd1ba (cheap) but I’m sacrificing my safety in my neighborhood. No frills apt.

I’m really discouraged. My after tax / after 401k contributions etc. take home pay is $6,500 monthly. I have $60,000 in savings / stocks for a down payment but even looking at a $550,000 home, my monthly payment would be about $3,400 from the calculators I’ve been using. Is that too high?

So discouraged that houses where I live are about 50% higher than what they were 2 years ago, and now interest rates are around 5.25% for my credit score. This is like a 1750 sq foot home
