It is awkward the first year but over time it is a lot better than the bullshit forced ratings.
@SM1 - don't rating still have to forced in a more frequent touch-point process? It seems like there will be even less transparency - at least now the roundtables are clearly scheduled and we have some (at least perceived) measures to perform again at each level
I've heard only bad things. Decreases transparency of the process, decreases transparency of the actual evaluation, and since it's completely new we don't even know how the system works yet. All in all sounds bad

Honestly, it appears to be even LESS transparent but I'll reserve judgement until further info is shared.
Non-yearly as in semi-annual? I think it works well; you get a chance to develop and or progress and can course correct without waiting for a year to end...
