I agree with taking a break. I personally got over my hump once I decided to quit.
Yeah I would like to avoid quitting if I could. I have considered it, but I also feel like I owe it to myself to try to battle through it. But then again, if I do find a better opportunity I do want to leave that on the table.

Influencing prevailing opinion and consciousness-raising is actually huge progress in and of itself as it is the first step toward enduring political and institutional change. Talking about it is doing something.

Second taking time off- disconnect entirely and after a few days you’ll feel a lot better.
Take a long break if possible. I felt this way and then was (unexpectedly) unemployed for a while the first half of this year. I didn’t do any work aside from applying for jobs, just focused on the hobbies I’ve always wanted to try. Started a vegetable garden, painted, started playing an instrument, read, watches the movies and shows I had been putting off, etc. By the time I started my new job I felt like a new person, it even helped me feel more creative. You gotta let yourself live like a rich Victorian lady living in the English countryside every once in a while.
