Easy - Option 1. Higher base + more PTO.
20 days pto has a significantly bigger impact on my well being. This would probably be my determinant! 🤣
Completely agree with 5 days more
Offers seem pretty comparable. I would make decision based on non-offer related factors:
- what optionality do both create for your next role and the role after that
- what is development and promotion path?
- do you see differences I'm the types of mentors you'd create in each?
- type of work, etc and alignment with your goals
Def will think about this!
Thank you 😊
I always higher base unless the quarterly bonus is based on your individual metrics and not the firms.
I actually asked this and they said it’s based on both individual and firms performance
In addition to above, think/ask about utilization metrics and other expectations. This will also have an impact on your work load and we’ll being
Option one
Which one had the better manager? A good mentor early on can help fast track your career
I liked the people best from offer 2, more youthful and like funny. But, the people from offer 1 were also extremely nice
Is one GT
No lol they’re much smaller than GT
Make sure to compare other benefits too. Health insurance/401k/PTO/etc.
I did!
They both match about the same 401k
Offer 1 has 20 days PTO
Offer 2 has 15 days PTO
Also, do you guys think theses are good offers for NYC?
Im an SC at D in Advisory (it audit) with 3 YOE
Thank you 😊
I would go with Option 1 as well. The higher base is more important, and it offers more PTO. The second firm seems kind of cheap in my opinion. Unless you just liked the people a lot more and could see yourself staying longer and being promoted faster at the second place.
Second one is Slalom?
Slalom doesn’t give quarterly bonuses at SC level
I’m all for higher base and more PTO
Option 1. Higher base and PTO.
Did you tell both firms that you had a comparable competing offer and to come back and their best and final offer for you?
I did, this was the highest for both lol
Seems like one of these is guidehouse lol
