Any openings for freshers BCA degree?
Hi everyone, I have 5.3 years of experience nd currently working with IBM. My current fixed salary is 13 LPA. I have been selected in Infosys and have salary discussion with HR. Could you please help me to understand what should be appropriate expectation in term of CTC as per current market conditions?

Anyone have any total earnings insight to Elavon? They mentioned a base of 70k the first year while you ramp up and a base of 50k after that. But the person in charge of hiring has said they have struggled to hire at that 50k base. Thinking I could push for 60-70k base but I am unsure about how much commission can be expected in the first couple years. Any insight would be helpful

It doesn’t hurt to try, but it’s tricky. Never, ever, give a number. Especially without knowing what level you were being offered. You have already hurt yourself. You could say the role has changed and you want more. And they can change their mind and down-level you too. This is a lesson learned for you. But agree it’s low for NYC. You could try - I did some more thinking about and I feel $180K is more appropriate for this role.
Also, have you done your home work? What’s the range for this particular position at this bank? It’s reasonable to expect you will be paid at least that
Would agree. I would negotiate for 200K base and stock options if it’s. Director role.
I worked at a bank, and directors got at least $180K. Some even received $200K+ base and stock options.
If it’s a bank there will also be deferred comp ie bonus. You must understand what your bonus baseline is, without knowing what the role is, it’s hard to say but I would think director is closer to 300k all in. 150 base feels low at director. That is also a massive jump job level wise from Senior level in consulting.

So here’s the thing- I wasn’t expecting a D role so I just asked for 150, they managed to get me a level higher. I’m not sure how can I ask for more now
Especially in NY, never be the one to name a number. There are laws in place, but many word the question to skirt it. The response is always “my expectations are commensurate with the role” or something like that.
