Hi! I just accepted a Relationship Banker II role in Allen, TX. My offer letter was 50k base and 1k guaranteed commission a month first year. I just graduated w a degree in Business Administration. Basically the info I got on how commission works was pretty vague. Anyway I wanted to see what someone I’m their 1st or 2nd year can realistically expect to on average make in commission a year in this role. Also what do bonuses in the role look like? I’m hoping to just hear some ballpark numbers! JPMorgan Chase JPMorgan Chase

Probably ~10-15 years on average depending on how you go about it I'd assume? 10 would be if you did everything right and got promoted as early as possible from every role, 12-15 being more typical. Could take longer tho since some places refuse to give an MD title as a new hire unless you have like 20+ years of experience and a long list of connections since it can ruffle the other Sr leaders' feathers to be taking direction from someone new that just joined and doesn't know the company yet

I would say 20 years unless you are in production and are a superstar. Of course there are exceptions for people promoted early and regularly.
Ah this isn't exactly what I was wanting to hear but I guess that makes sense on the seniority thing SA1. Hopefully can be closer to the ten...maybe I'll get loyal and not boomerang too much.
