What does your benefits package include?
I interviewed for Data Analyst role at EY, it went well and the job sounds great, but I'm a bit hesitant to leave PwC because I really like the firm and I'm just 8 months in my job as an associate at a subgroup of ITS that has some focus on technology and analytics but it's mostly tax compliance.
I do want to transition to data analytics but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to go to another big 4, or maybe just look for a position in industry.
Any advice or similar experience?

How? Inheritance?
Oh will the peanut gallery please shut up. Living in grandparents basement is a significant sacrifice in NY (Pre COVID at least)
Pro
By something for yourself to live in, if you think you’ll stick around NY. $500k could be a nice down payment.
big 4 is paying you that much to have 500k by 30....?
I live in my grandparent’s basement floor so I haven’t paid rent since graduating. I have no hobbies and don’t spend money on anything really, consulting also pays for my food most weeks pre covid?
I’d stick with stocks.
Congrats for being upfront about your lack of entrepreneurial spirit! I love it.
Given that, it sounds like you’ve put yourself in an ideal position. Unless you find something with greater utility to spend it on, let that nest egg grow, giving you so many options for life down the road, including early retirement or less-financially rewarding follow-on career(s). And good on you for saving so much (unless it’s inheritance, in which case good on your forebears)
Outside of all that yeah... rental property if you have not entrepreneurial spirit
Diversify!!!!!!!!
Similar boat, right down to the lack of entrepreneurial spirit. Sticking with indexes. Without serious side hustle, I don't see anything with a higher risk adjusted expected return.
Why do you feel the need to "turn this into something"? Are you feeling you aren't doing enough with having $500k in taxable brokerage? Looking for better returns?
The broad stock markets, over long term, has been the single biggest generator of wealth.
