If this is their only viable option then take it. You enter the world of consulting then you can navigate it by either looking to move into a higher paying practice within the firm or leave for more dollars a year or two in. Economically things are going to get very difficult in 2021 so hang on to what you have going on.
Pwc audit and tax accounting roles are in line with that.
I have multiple friends in big 4 accounting that received offers for 56k in 2018 in Dallas texas.

Tbh just take it. Getting a job with no full time experience is hard enough. Things get easier when you can some experience down the line

Gotta start somewhere. Some of you are out of touch with what a reasonable salary is. Unless it’s NY or SF Bay, $55k is a reasonable starting point for a new grad.

This is an accounting/audit role. Very in line for PwC.
I made 59k starting four years ago in Chicago in tax service. Got t1 promo and a 25% raise after 19 months.

Even a high school graduate could fulfill a risk assurance associates role. Hence the lower pay.

In 2015 I was offered 67k in risk assurance in a t1 city. I didn’t take it because I thought that was low
First job out of undergrad, 2015, I made $61k in risk advisory in DC so he should try to negotiate or look at other Big 4 or Tier 2
Risk Assurance and risk advisory not the same thing. Assurance pays less.
You sure it’s PwC? Maybe it’s PmC or PvC.
